Role Overview

As a Vehicle Detailer, you will ensure that vehicles arriving at the Detail Shop are meticulously cleaned and detailed to meet sale-ready standards. Your role also supports lot operations and thorough vehicle inspections.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform exterior vehicle cleaning including bug removal, pre-soaking, soaping, rinsing, drying, wheel and tire cleaning, buffing, and waxing.
• Clean vehicle interiors by removing debris and thoroughly inspecting and cleaning ashtrays, dashboards, panels, vinyl, windows, carpets, and upholstery.
• Inspect and confirm that detailing and reconditioning meet customer requirements and company quality standards through visual and tactile examination.
• Track and document all vehicles entering and leaving lanes using detail sheets.
• Reject vehicles not meeting standards and coordinate rework with the detail shop, generating necessary reports and rechecking corrected vehicles.
• Maintain cleanliness in wash bays and work areas throughout the day.
• Drive vehicles in and out of wash bays and through auction lanes on sale days.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Required Qualifications

• Relevant experience in vehicle detailing preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Capability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Good vision abilities including depth perception, focus adjustment, and close-range sight.

Working Conditions

• Frequent exposure to wet and humid environments.
• Exposure to outdoor weather, moving machinery, electrical hazards, fumes, dust, and odors.
• Moderate noise levels typical of automotive workspaces.

Additional Information

This full-time position operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM AST.
