Role Overview
The Vehicle Inspections and Lot Coordinator role is a practical, on-the-ground position that blends office-based coordination with outdoor vehicle handling. The job involves customer communication, administrative support, lot upkeep, and vehicle inspection work. The role requires comfort working in all weather conditions and the ability to manage several priorities while contributing to a smooth customer experience.
Schedule
This is a Monday to Friday role, scheduled from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this full-time position is $20.00 to $23.00 per hour. The role may also qualify for discretionary bonuses or commission. What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver accurate, thorough work and see tasks through from start to finish.
- Move, clean, inspect, and detail vehicles to meet company standards, including snow removal when required.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and other stakeholders by phone, email, and in person.
- Support day-to-day administration such as organizing files, preparing documents, and compiling statistics.
- Contribute to a strong customer experience by stepping in proactively and supporting the team wherever needed.
- Identify issues, collaborate on solutions, and help implement improvements for both the company and its customers.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism.
- Use software tools confidently, including Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
- Maintain accurate records, filing systems, data entry, and analysis with strong attention to detail.
- Follow safety procedures and use the proper protective equipment.
- Maintain dependable attendance and a consistent work schedule.
- Complete onsite and offsite vehicle inspections as needed.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in the automotive or transportation sector is preferred.
- Experience with AutoGrade or vehicle inspections is an advantage, though not mandatory.
- The candidate must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to solve problems resourcefully and approach challenges with initiative.
- Capability to work independently with limited supervision while still contributing effectively in a team setting.
- Comfort driving both manual and automatic vehicles.
- Working knowledge of web-based tools and automotive inspection software is preferred.
- Strong detail orientation, dependable work habits, and a customer-focused mindset are essential.
Work Conditions
This position involves outdoor work in changing weather conditions, along with some indoor administrative tasks. The role also requires being on foot for extended periods and walking medium to long distances during the workday.
