Role Overview
The Vehicle Inspections and Lot Coordinator is a practical, hands-on role that combines office-based support with outdoor vehicle work. The position involves customer communication, administrative coordination, and careful lot upkeep. It requires strong organization, computer literacy, the ability to handle physical tasks, and the flexibility to work in all weather conditions while supporting EBlock’s digital auction operations.
Compensation and Schedule
This full-time position offers base pay in the range of $20.00 to $23.00 per hour. The company also notes that the role may qualify for discretionary bonuses or commission payments. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
What You Will Do
- Approach tasks with initiative and complete detailed work carefully through to the end.
- Move, wash, and inspect vehicles, including detailing them to company standards and shoveling snow when required.
- Build and sustain positive working relationships through clear, respectful communication by phone, email, and in person.
- Handle administrative duties such as organizing files, preparing documents, and compiling statistics.
- Deliver a strong customer experience by being proactive, flexible, and ready to support wherever needed.
- Work with the team to identify issues and help put practical solutions in place for both EBlock and customers.
- Treat confidential information carefully and show sound judgment, tact, and sensitivity in sensitive situations.
- Use software tools effectively, including Microsoft Office and other web-based applications.
- Maintain accurate records with careful attention to paperwork retention, filing systems, data entry, and analysis.
- Follow safety procedures and use the correct protective equipment.
- Maintain reliable attendance and be consistently available for scheduled work.
- Complete vehicle inspections on-site and off-site as needed.
- Carry out other assigned duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
- Between 2 and 4 years of experience in the automotive or transportation industry is preferred.
- Experience with AutoGrade or vehicle inspection work is preferred, though not mandatory.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong problem-solving ability and a resourceful, creative approach to challenges are needed.
- Must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision while still contributing effectively to a team.
- Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles is required.
- Familiarity with web-based tools and automotive inspection software is preferred.
- Attention to detail, dependable attendance, and strong customer service skills are essential.
- The role involves outdoor work in changing weather, time on foot for long periods, and walking medium to long distances during the day.
