Job description
Role Overview
This position involves ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the store environment, including customer seating, restrooms, back offices, and sales floor areas. The role requires maintaining a positive image for the company by delivering courteous and efficient service to customers and coworkers. Adherence to store procedures, safety regulations, and company values is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality maintenance services consistently.
- Complete daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance tasks as scheduled.
- Assist various teams with larger cleaning projects.
- Perform minor repair work and facility improvements.
- Participate in the procurement of maintenance supplies.
- Respond promptly to cleaning emergencies.
- Support upkeep of landscaping and parking lot areas.
- Maintain continuous cleaning in all store departments.
- Be punctual, properly groomed, dressed, and prepared for each scheduled shift; attend required training and meetings.
- Report safety hazards or violations immediately.
- Carry out other assignments given by store, regional, or national leadership.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Stand or walk for 6 to 8 hours within an 8-hour shift.
- Use hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
- Perform motions including bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
- Handle cleaning chemicals approved by the FDA.
- Work in varying temperature conditions: below freezing (less than 32°F), refrigerated (32–40°F), and high heat (above 90°F).
- Operate in cold and wet environments.
- Adhere to flexible scheduling, potentially including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Use tools and equipment such as box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other machinery.
