About the Role
We are inviting applications for a devoted Staff Nurse position within our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) located in Ajman, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will deliver attentive and specialized nursing care focused on premature and critically ill newborns. This role requires constant patient monitoring, execution of prescribed treatments, and fostering newborn health and recuperation. The candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary medical team and provide empathetic guidance to families throughout the infant's care journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver continuous care tailored to premature and critically ill neonates in the NICU setting.
- Regularly observe and evaluate vital signs, oxygen saturations, and clinical status.
- Administer prescribed medications, intravenous therapies, and nutritional interventions.
- Operate and ensure maintenance of sophisticated NICU devices such as ventilators, incubators, and monitoring equipment.
- Participate in neonatal emergency procedures and resuscitation efforts as needed.
- Support feeding methodologies including tube and assisted feeding techniques.
- Maintain precise and prompt documentation of patient care and clinical records.
- Collaborate effectively with neonatologists and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.
- Provide education and emotional support to parents to empower them in newborn care involvement.
- Adhere strictly to infection control standards and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Current and valid nursing license.
- At least two years of practical experience within a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Adeptness at working collaboratively under pressure in a dynamic healthcare environment.
