Staff Nurse - OBGYN Ward

Role Overview

We are looking for a caring and capable Staff Nurse to join the Obstetrics and Gynaecology ward team. In this position, you will support women through pregnancy, labour and childbirth, the recovery period after delivery, and the management of gynaecological conditions. The role suits someone with prior experience in obstetric and gynaecology nursing, strong bedside assessment abilities, and a genuinely patient-focused approach.

You will work in a collaborative clinical environment where teamwork, evidence-based practice, and compassionate care are central to day-to-day work. This is a strong opportunity to build further expertise in women’s health while contributing to safe, high-quality nursing outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective nursing support for patients in obstetrics and gynaecology.
• Observe, assess, and record patient status, and promptly raise any clinical concerns.
• Give medications and carry out treatments according to approved clinical protocols.
• Assist women and their families during pregnancy, recovery after birth, and gynaecological treatment.
• Work closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure joined-up patient care.
• Educate patients about postnatal recovery, newborn care, prescribed medicines, and women’s health topics.
• Keep clinical records accurate and follow hospital rules, safety procedures, and infection prevention standards.
• Take part in quality improvement efforts and continue professional learning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Valid UAE nursing licence or eligibility to obtain one.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in an OBGYN ward.
• Experience in obstetric and gynaecological nursing.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centred care.
