Position Overview
This role involves providing immediate telephonic crisis intervention services, including conducting clinical assessments to determine the appropriate level of care for callers in need. Exceptional customer service skills are essential for interactions with both internal teams and external clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage high volumes of inbound calls within a contact center setting, delivering prompt and effective service under set time guidelines.
- Handle calls skillfully, managing call duration responsibly and navigating complex or ambiguous situations with difficult callers.
- Maintain strong work habits and time management, adhering to attendance and punctuality standards specific to contact center operations.
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments with compassion, ensuring respectful and sensitive communication with callers.
- Evaluate and document callers' access to support systems and community resources that may impact treatment decisions.
- Respect and accommodate diverse personal values and beliefs related to gender, culture, age, ethnicity, spirituality, development, and sexual orientation.
- Develop collaboratively agreed-upon intervention plans aimed at symptom reduction, using the appropriate levels of care.
- Accurately and professionally complete documentation and promptly enter data into electronic systems.
- Coordinate deployment of Mobile Outreach Team members for in-person evaluations as needed.
- Engage in continual professional growth through participation in individual and group supervision, trainings, seminars, and organizational events.
- Collaborate effectively within teams and independently, demonstrating flexibility with work schedules and supervisor requests, including commitment to working one scheduled weekend shift per week.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling is required.
- Working knowledge and experience with clinical assessment techniques.
- Capacity to learn multiple protocols and follow them accurately.
- Ability to type while conducting assessments.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Adaptability to fast-paced and changing environments.
- Minimum of one year clinical experience preferred.
- Experience in contact center or customer service environments is an advantage.
