Job description

About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician at Regal in Oviedo, FL, you will play a key role in ensuring the proper functioning and safety of the theatre environment. This full-time, onsite position requires you to conduct various repairs and general maintenance tasks across all areas of the theater, including the projection booth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consistently attend and maintain regular presence for all scheduled shifts.
  • Repair auditorium seating and complete maintenance swiftly when issues arise.
  • Undertake tile installation and repair, as well as sheetrock patchwork.
  • Guide and instruct theatre staff on safe and effective maintenance techniques.
  • Replace light bulbs throughout the facility as needed.
  • Complete daily facility inspection reports to uphold safety and integrity.
  • Perform a wide range of minor fixes as required by theatre operations.
  • Coordinate with management to engage professional services for complex maintenance problems.
  • Understand and operate the building's alarm systems, including arming and disarming procedures.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with all emergency and safety protocols.
  • Present a professional appearance in line with the safety standards of the role.

Compensation

  • Hourly wage: $20.00

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Preferred to have prior experience in building or facility maintenance.
  • Must be certified as a cast member.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with management and staff.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to act proactively in challenging situations.
  • Must frequently stand, walk, use hands actively, reach, and communicate clearly; must be comfortable with climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 60 lbs.
  • Must have the visual ability to focus on different distances and adapt as needed.
  • Should exhibit sensitivity and positive interactions with coworkers.
