Job Overview
Join Regal as a part-time Floor Staff member where your main goal is to deliver outstanding service to our guests. You may be scheduled based on theatre requirements or your availability to work at the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. Compensation starts at $16.50 per hour with additional benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Manage emergency situations when required.
- Perform general cleaning duties and adhere to company dress code.
Box Office Duties
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system handling cash, credit cards, gift cards, and coupons with accuracy.
- Promote premium viewing experiences such as 3D, RPX, and IMAX.
- Encourage participation in the Regal Crown Club loyalty program.
- Ensure ticket sales comply with MPAA ratings and company policies.
- Provide courteous and informative responses to guest inquiries over the phone.
Concession Responsibilities
- Manage sales via POS system including cash drawer accuracy and concession inventory control.
- Promote the Regal Crown Club program actively.
- Prepare, operate, and clean all concession equipment.
- Engage in up-selling and suggestive selling techniques.
- Comply strictly with all food safety laws applicable locally, statewide, and federally.
- Follow federal and state regulations regarding breaks and meal periods.
- Maintain current alcohol sales certification and training if required.
- Only sell or serve alcohol if legally permitted by state or local law.
- Complete required training covering topics such as sexual harassment and discrimination.
Usher Functions
- Check and collect tickets, directing guests to their auditoriums.
- Conduct backpack and package inspections when needed.
- Manage crowd flow and assist guests in seating.
- Enforce MPAA rating guidelines within auditoriums.
- Monitor auditorium presentation quality and theater safety.
- Report issues or unusual activities to management immediately.
- Support concession sales inside auditoriums as required.
- Clean auditoriums after shows and maintain cleanliness in restrooms, lobby, hallways, and other common areas.
- Ensure vending machines are clean and functioning properly.
- Assist with opening and closing theater procedures as assigned.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly wage for this role is $16.50. Employees enjoy free movie passes and discounted concessions at Regal theaters. After six months of service and reaching age 21, team members become eligible to participate in the 401(k) retirement plan, which includes a company match.
Qualifications
- Ability to fulfill all essential duties effectively.
- If serving alcohol, completion of legal state or local training and certification is mandatory.
- Must complete Regal’s Responsible Beverage Server training online.
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to listen and respond appropriately.
- Accurate and fast math skills to handle transactions and error checking.
- Good problem-solving skills to identify issues, evaluate options and make decisions under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with customers, coworkers, and management.
- Ability to manage time, set priorities and achieve objectives independently.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, talk, hear, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 60 pounds.
- Good vision including close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustment.
