About the opportunity
This role blends participant support, sales, relationship management and administration. Based in Rockhampton, Queensland, within the Inclusive Employment Australia Program, the position focuses on helping people with disability, injury or long-term unemployment move into meaningful work while also building employer partnerships and creating job opportunities.
What you will do
- Work closely with participants to understand their employment goals and help set them up for success.
- Coach participants so they are job-ready, confident in interviews and competitive in the labour market.
- Support job seekers with resumes, interview practice, job search planning and access to training or upskilling options.
- Promote participants to employers and actively create pathways into work.
- Develop strong local business relationships to generate sustainable vacancies and placements.
- Use outbound calls, employer visits and in-person networking to uncover opportunities.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of employer contacts and convert prospects into placements.
- Identify hidden opportunities through proactive business development.
- Present candidates effectively by matching their strengths to employer needs.
- Influence hiring decisions by promoting the business and social value of inclusive hiring.
- Negotiate work trials, placements and wage subsidies to support employment outcomes.
- Keep employer relationships active to encourage repeat vacancies and ongoing business.
- Meet and exceed KPI targets related to placements, engagement and activity.
- Schedule regular appointments and monitor participant progress toward employment.
- Maintain compliance records, documentation and data entry in line with program rules.
- Track performance against targets and employment outcomes.
- Recognise milestones and successful placements to build participant confidence and engagement.

What makes you a strong fit
You are likely a confident communicator who enjoys building relationships and speaking with employers. Experience in sales, business development, recruitment or a customer-facing role will be valuable. You should be genuinely motivated by helping people overcome barriers, resilient in a target-driven environment, and organised enough to manage several priorities at once.

Eligibility and working conditions
To be considered, you must be eligible to work in Australia, hold a current driver’s licence, and have a comprehensively insured vehicle. A Standard-level MyGovID is required. You must also be willing to complete a National Police Check and be able to pass a Working with Children Check. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
