Job description

Role Overview

This exceptional role at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers the chance to lead transformational change across the Trust’s three main sites and partner locations. The Clinical Lead will act as a senior, autonomous professional driving complex service reconfigurations within the Shape of DBTH pillar, part of the Reset Programme. Collaborating closely with divisions, directorates, and corporate services, the lead provides expert clinical guidance to ensure change initiatives are evidence-based, co-produced, and safe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior clinical leadership for complex service change and reconfiguration projects.
  • Operate independently as a credible change agent supporting Executive Leads and the wider DBTH Improvement team.
  • Ensure that all changes improve patient care, quality, access, productivity, and financial viability.
  • Engage across professional boundaries to facilitate difficult decisions and constructive challenges.
  • Build and embed improvement capabilities across the organization to plan, execute, and sustain change effectively.
