Uniforms Attendant (Pre-opening)

About the Role

The Cape Town EDITION Hotel is seeking a Uniforms Attendant for its pre-opening phase. In this position, you'll be responsible for managing the hotel’s uniform and linen distribution, maintaining records, and ensuring company appearance standards are met. This critical operations role involves close adherence to safety, company policies, and a focus on supporting a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clean uniforms to staff in alignment with company guidelines and requirements.
• Track the issuance, return, and cleaning of uniforms; update records accordingly.
• Inspect all uniforms for damage or unacceptable wear, removing and replacing items as necessary.
• Conduct regular inventories of uniforms and linens as directed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and secure work environment by following all safety policies, reporting accidents or risks promptly, and participating in required safety training.
• Represent the company with a professional appearance at all times; ensure personal and uniform hygiene.
• Uphold confidentiality concerning company information and assets.
• Communicate clearly and courteously with colleagues, managers, and other hotel departments.
• Engage in positive and respectful collaboration with coworkers to achieve shared goals.
• Undertake additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

General Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods during a shift.
• Capacity to move, lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 25 pounds independently.
• Reliability, integrity, and a safety-oriented attitude.
• Commitment to quality, professionalism, and dependability.

Physical Requirements

• Regular standing, walking, bending, and reaching are required.
• Frequent handling of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
