Position Overview

As a Spa Therapist at The Singapore EDITION, you will deliver exceptional massage and body treatment services utilizing specialized props and quality products. Key responsibilities include assessing guest needs and health restrictions such as allergies or pregnancy before treatments, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current techniques, and creating a comforting and safe environment for guests throughout their visit.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform massage services and body treatments such as scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy with professionalism and care.
• Evaluate and inquire about contraindications before initiating services to ensure guest safety.
• Escort guests to and from treatment areas, arrange treatment rooms and equipment, and uphold a clean and organized workspace.
• Provide ongoing guest comfort by regularly checking in and adhering strictly to scheduled appointment times.
• Proactively promote and sell spa services and related retail products.
• Maintain sanitation by cleaning and sterilizing tools and handling linens responsibly.
• Respond appropriately and promptly to any guest misconduct by following established organizational protocols.
• Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management and participate in safety training as required.
• Adhere to company policies on appearance, confidentiality, and asset protection while fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues, and build positive working relationships.
• Physically perform tasks that may involve prolonged standing or walking, and handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds requiring fine motor skills.
• Carry out additional duties requested by supervisors to ensure smooth operation of the spa.

Qualifications and Experience

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree preferred.
• A minimum of one year of relevant spa or massage therapy experience.
• Possession of a State or Regional Massage License is mandatory.
• No supervisory experience required.
