Role Overview

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Storeperson to join our Defence Theatre Logistics (DTL) team at Robertson Barracks, Northern Territory. This position directly supports Australia’s Defence capability by managing warehouse tasks such as inventory control, freight handling, and safe transportation of Defence-related equipment and materials within a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily warehouse operations aligned with the DTL contract obligations.
  • Engage in operational meetings at the site as required.
  • Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and material handling equipment (MHE) for inventory tasks including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and distribution.
  • Maintain strict compliance with Toll Government & Defence contracts, Defence regulations, safety protocols, and operational standards.
  • Ensure workplace safety, cleanliness, and efficiency at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Previous experience working in warehousing, logistics, or similar operational environments.
  • Australian citizenship is mandatory with eligibility to obtain and sustain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) clearance (Baseline or higher).
  • Current forklift (LF) license is required; having a Heavy Rigid (HR) license is highly preferable.
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
  • Effective team collaboration skills to contribute positively within the warehouse team.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet time-sensitive deadlines effectively.
  • High attention to detail for accurate stock management, order processing, and reporting.
  • Physical fitness suitable for manual handling, lifting, and carrying materials as required.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including criminal history and medical examinations.
