Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Storeperson to join our Defence Theatre Logistics (DTL) team in Amberley, Queensland. The role involves managing warehouse activities, inventory control, freight handling, and the secure movement of Defence equipment and supplies. This position operates in a dynamic, safety-driven environment where accuracy, reliability, and teamwork are paramount.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching Defence materials and equipment.
  • Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) for accurate stock control and reporting.
  • Maintaining compliance with Toll’s Government & Defence contracts, Defence regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Ensuring site cleanliness and adherence to operational standards.
  • Collaborating with team members and leaders to meet operational objectives.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience in warehousing or logistics is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Possession of a current LF Forklift licence or willingness to acquire one.
  • Valid C-class driver’s licence.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Defence Security Clearance (baseline or NV1 as required).
  • Physical capability for manual handling and outdoor work delivering stores to Defence personnel.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • A commitment to workplace safety.
  • Australian citizenship is required.
