About the Role
We have an opening for an experienced Country Sales Manager to lead the sales operations in New Zealand for Toll Global Forwarding. Reporting to the Field Sales Senior Manager ANZ, this senior leadership role involves crafting and implementing sales strategies, steering sustainable revenue and profit growth, leading a high-performing sales team, and enhancing Toll's market presence in New Zealand. The position entails fostering customer relationships, identifying growth prospects, and ensuring strong commercial outcomes for the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement the New Zealand sales strategy aligned with regional and global goals.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a sales team to achieve outstanding results.
- Drive growth in revenue, profitability, and market share within key customer segments.
- Establish and maintain senior-level customer and industry stakeholder relationships.
- Work collaboratively with product and operations teams to deliver tailored customer solutions and strategic initiatives.
- Manage sales governance processes, including CRM adherence, pipeline oversight, and performance reporting.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics.
- Minimum 5 years in senior sales leadership roles.
- Proven track record leading large sales teams and driving revenue growth.
- Comprehensive understanding of international and domestic logistics, including air, ocean transport, and customs processes.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
