Role Overview
This position is for a Relationship Manager / Senior Relationship Manager within the Mid-Market & Supply Chain function. The role focuses on building business in SME lending and supply chain finance, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring healthy portfolio performance.
What the Role Requires
The function supports short-term, medium-term, and long-term working capital and supply chain financing requirements through customised lending products. Success in the role is measured by loan book growth, profitability, and maintaining a strict no-tolerance approach toward delinquency.
To perform well, the incumbent should bring a solid grasp of business finance, loan structuring, and credit administration. A strong understanding of the local market, including industries, trades, occupations, and regional financial preferences, is important for building credibility, structuring suitable loans, and identifying new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Build the sales funnel to grow the loan book and expand market share in the assigned territory.
- Study local market movements and competitor offerings to spot opportunities for business growth.
- Reduce customer churn by maintaining regular and meaningful client engagement.
- Develop business through regular interaction with investment bankers, chartered accountants, and brokers.
- Escalate delinquent accounts and potential NPAs promptly, while closely tracking recovery actions.
- Monitor key accounts to identify early warning signals related to portfolio stress or asset quality.
- Acquire new customers through lead identification and conversion-focused outreach.
- Improve business volume through cross-sell activity and relevant product solutions.
- Strengthen customer relationships by working with Credit Analysts to reduce turnaround time.
- Use technology to improve service responsiveness and operational efficiency.
- Support smooth loan disbursal by coordinating with internal teams and ensuring complete documentation.
- Address queries from internal stakeholders so applications move through the process accurately and on time.
- Collect and share market intelligence on competitor strategies, policies, and operating methods.
- Report market insights to the Area Sales Manager to support tactical business decisions.
- Track overdue accounts on a daily basis and ensure recovery actions are taken in time.
- Act early on initial delinquent accounts to support timely collections.
- Work toward profitability through suitable pricing, fees, and cost-control measures.
- Follow all pre-sourcing and post-sourcing process requirements consistently.
- Share inputs for Sales MIS to improve reporting quality and operational execution.

Eligibility
Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in Finance and have 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
