Job description
Position Overview
The Analyst, FP&A and Business Process Improvement plays a vital role in supporting the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles. This includes managing and improving the Yardi ABF planning software, contributing to financial reporting and business performance assessment, and leading continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing processes, systems, and data integrity organization-wide. Effective collaboration with multiple stakeholders across departments is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with maintaining and updating forecast models for annual and quarterly planning, ensuring timelines and resources are coordinated to compile and deliver comprehensive reporting packages.
- Analyze quarterly forecast results to pinpoint significant risks, opportunities, and variance between actuals versus budgets or forecasts.
- Manage and enhance Yardi ABF and Power BI financial dashboards to aid in reporting and decision-making processes.
- Support system improvement initiatives, including upgrades, data integration, automation, development of standardized and customized reports, staff training, and governance of accounting data.
- Collaborate closely with business units to identify and implement process efficiencies both within and between departments.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses in response to management inquiries and business needs.
- Participate in special projects and carry out additional duties as required.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
- Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent relevant experience.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
- Strong understanding of accounting principles related to real estate development, property management, CAM, property tax, chargeback billings, and management reporting.
- Proficiency in financial reporting methodologies and the ability to generate precise and detailed financial documents.
- Expertise in financial analysis, with the capability to interpret data accurately and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Competence in identifying root causes of organizational issues and proposing effective alternative solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all organizational levels effectively.
