Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the monthly financial reporting process to deliver timely and precise management accounts.
• Provide comprehensive financial analysis, KPI tracking, and insightful performance reports to senior management.
• Execute month-end closing tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet scrutiny.
• Develop annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and cashflow predictions.
• Collaborate with operational leaders to support business decisions and enhance profitability.
• Manage year-end statutory accounts and coordinate the external audit process.
• Ensure adherence to VAT, payroll, corporation tax, and all statutory compliance requirements.
• Evaluate and bolster financial controls, seeking efficiencies and improvements.
• Contribute to business improvement projects, system upgrades, and finance transformation efforts.
• Guide and support junior finance staff while engaging with senior stakeholders across the company.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant with at least one year post-qualification experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and management accounting.
• Strong analytical aptitude combined with commercial awareness.
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Highly organised, proactive, and adept at working in fast-paced environments.
• Experience in a growing SME or multi-entity business is a plus.
