Overview
Emdad By Elm is looking to hire a seasoned Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the company's financial strategy, manage all accounting and financial governance tasks, and uphold robust internal control systems. This executive role focuses on enhancing financial outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and offering strategic financial insights to support leadership decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement financial strategies that align with the organization's broader goals.
- Lead budgeting, financial forecasting, and initiatives for sustained financial health and growth.
- Manage daily accounting functions including financial reporting, account reconciliation, and month-end/year-end closures.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance in financial statements based on relevant accounting principles.
- Optimize liquidity, cash flow, and treasury functions to maximize the organization’s financial resources.
- Oversee the recording and processing of financial transactions, ensuring alignment with approved policies.
- Design and upkeep a strong framework of internal controls to protect company assets and reduce financial risks.
- Ensure adherence to all financial regulations and internal governance policies.
- Deliver detailed financial reports and analytics to executive leadership and the board for informed decision-making.
- Track financial performance indicators, analyze deviations, and implement actions to enhance financial health.
- Lead initiatives to manage financial risks, including liquidity, controls, and continuity planning.
- Coordinate audits and ensure that all findings and recommendations are promptly addressed.
- Continuously refine finance-related policies, procedure manuals, and governance structures.
- Collaborate with senior executives on strategic planning supported by financial data and insights.
- Recruit, mentor, and guide a competent finance team promoting accountability and a culture of improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or closely related discipline; master’s degree such as an MBA is preferred.
- Proven track record in senior finance roles encompassing financial management, strategy, and corporate governance.
- In-depth expertise in accounting standards, internal controls, treasury, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience interacting with executive teams, boards of directors, and external audit bodies.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement, and long-term planning capabilities.
- Professional credentials like CPA, CMA, ACCA, SOCPA, CFA, or MBA are strongly preferred.
