The ideal candidate combines expertise in financial modeling, business collaboration, and practical use of modern FP&A technologies such as Workday Adaptive Planning, AI-powered tools, automation, and advanced analytics to drive improved forecasting, reporting, and analytic processes.

This position is based in Frisco, TX, and operates in a hybrid model requiring regular in-office presence to facilitate effective team collaboration. Candidates must live within commuting distance as relocation support is not provided.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic financial partner to senior and executive leadership, converting complex financial data into clear insights, tradeoffs, and actionable recommendations that influence key business decisions.
  • Create and maintain sophisticated financial models for operating expenses and headcount forecasting, scenario planning, investment analysis, and long-term financial planning; ensure models are scalable and decision-ready.
  • Lead major financial processes including annual operating planning, quarterly forecasting, and ongoing performance monitoring with full delivery accountability.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools, automation, and advanced analytics to refine forecasting accuracy, variance review, scenario modeling, reporting, and executive decision support.
  • Automate manual tasks such as data aggregation, reporting, and variance explanations to boost efficiency and scalability of financial operations.
  • Develop executive-level presentations, dashboards, and summaries that communicate financial results, underlying drivers, and forward-looking impacts effectively.
  • Utilize Workday Adaptive Planning extensively for forecasting cycles, scenario modeling, reporting, data validation, and enhancing planning processes.
  • Identify risk factors, opportunities, and trends proactively, providing actionable recommendations and alternative strategies.
  • Manage projects independently from problem definition through to execution and delivery in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years progressively responsible experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment analysis, or equivalent analytical finance roles.
  • Proven capability in constructing and owning complex financial models used for executive decision-making.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with senior or executive stakeholders.
  • Strong background supporting financial planning, forecasting, and performance management processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort handling large and complex datasets for financial analysis.
  • Experience implementing AI tools, automation, or advanced analytics within finance functions, especially in forecasting, modeling, variance analysis, or reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or similar enterprise planning software, with preference for Workday Adaptive Planning expertise.
  • Ability to work autonomously, leading workstreams and producing high-quality deliverables with minimal supervision.

Preferred Attributes

  • Deep expertise in Workday Adaptive Planning performing planning cycles, reporting, scenario analysis, and data validation.
  • Track record of driving automation and analytics-led enhancements within finance processes.
  • Experience working in technology, SaaS, or rapidly scaling business environments.
  • MBA or comparable advanced business qualification (optional).

Measures of Success

  • Trusted advisor to senior leaders providing insights that guide business strategy.
  • Proactively solves problems and offers solutions ahead of challenges.
  • Uses AI and enterprise tools to reduce manual effort, boost analytical depth, and create scalable FP&A workflows.
  • Operates independently with a strong sense of ownership and delivers complex tasks with minimal guidance.
  • Enhances accuracy and sophistication of financial models and forecasts.
  • Leads evolution toward a more data-driven and technology-enabled FP&A function.
