Job description

Position summary

In this role, you will serve as the main relationship lead for clients, giving them access to the full range of wealth management offerings at Deutsche Bank Wealth Management. You will work closely with the Investment Manager on the client’s day-to-day planning and servicing. The position focuses on bringing in new clients and assets that fit the bank’s business strategy, while also deepening existing relationships and delivering a high-quality, end-to-end client experience.

Core responsibilities

  • Build, grow, and sustain relationships with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
  • Expand wallet share and assets under management through business development, sales, and relationship management activities as needed.
  • Own the overall creation of net new assets and revenue on the assigned books in a scalable and efficient manner.
  • Manage the daily and longer-term balance between client servicing, prospect development, investment growth, compliance tasks, and personal development.
  • Allocate time and budget effectively to operate the business efficiently.
  • Suggest investment products and services that match each client’s goals, resources, time horizon, risk tolerance, and preferences.
  • Periodically review portfolios to confirm performance remains in line with the client’s objectives and risk profile.
  • Work with Investment Managers to cover clients, discuss financial goals, assess risk tolerance, review market conditions, share bank views across investment types, and explain recommended asset allocation.
  • Act as the accountable client owner for all AML matters related to the relationship, including KYC and account activity monitoring.
  • Maintain effective relationships with management and escalate matters that need supervisory review, attention, or approval.
  • Coordinate closely with coverage, product, and support teams to deliver the bank’s value proposition and leverage other parts of the organization where helpful.
  • Support the business strategy, growth plans, values, new products, and services, and contribute to a high-performing team culture.
  • Take part in relevant client social events, PR initiatives, and marketing activities.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree, preferably with a finance background.
  • CFA certification or an MBA is preferred.
  • Strong spoken and written English skills are essential.
  • 10 to 12 years of industry experience.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • A client-focused, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to perform in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong investment judgement and a solid client network in the target market.
  • Good understanding of the regulatory framework.
  • Professional integrity and a positive, collaborative approach.
  • Ability to manage resources and deploy them effectively.
  • Willingness to coach and develop other team members.
