Position overview

This role serves as the central relationship lead for affluent and ultra-high-net-worth clients, connecting them with the full range of wealth management offerings at Deutsche Bank. The position works closely with the Investment Manager in the day-to-day servicing and planning for each client, while also bringing in new clients and assets that align with the bank’s proposition. The objective is to deepen existing relationships, expand the client book, and deliver a seamless, high-quality client experience.

Core responsibilities

  • Build, grow, and sustain relationships with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
  • Expand share of wallet and assets under management through relationship management, sales, and business development efforts where suitable.
  • Take ownership of net new asset generation and revenue growth across assigned client books in a scalable and efficient manner.
  • Manage the day-to-day and longer-term balance between client servicing, prospect development, portfolio growth, compliance, and personal development.
  • Allocate time and budget effectively to run the business in an optimal way.
  • Suggest investment products and services that fit the client’s goals, financial resources, timeline, risk appetite, and preferences.
  • Review client portfolios on a regular basis to ensure alignment with investment objectives and risk profiles.
  • Work with Investment Managers to discuss client financial goals, risk tolerance, market views, research, asset allocation, and the impact of different investment options.
  • Serve as the accountable client owner for all AML-related responsibilities, including KYC and account activity oversight.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with management and escalate matters that need supervisory review, attention, or approval.
  • Collaborate closely with coverage, product, and support teams to deliver the bank’s value proposition and leverage other divisions when relevant.
  • Support the business strategy, growth plans, values, and new offerings while contributing to a strong-performing team.
  • Take part in client-facing social events, public relations efforts, and other marketing activities.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree, preferably with a finance background.
  • CFA certification or an MBA is considered an advantage.
  • Advanced fluency in English is mandatory.
  • 10 to 12 years of industry experience.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • A client-first and solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to perform in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment.
