Position Overview
As a Relationship Manager within Deutsche Bank Wealth Management in the Middle East, you will serve as the main liaison for clients, providing access to a comprehensive range of wealth management services and solutions. Collaborating closely with Investment Managers, you will handle the daily planning and servicing of your clients to ensure their financial needs are met effectively. Your key focus will include attracting new clients aligned with the bank's business goals, expanding asset portfolios, and enhancing existing client connections to deliver a comprehensive and premium client experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, nurture, and sustain relationships with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
- Drive growth in assets under management through strategic business development and client relationship management.
- Generate net new assets and revenue within managed portfolios efficiently and on scale.
- Manage a balance between client relations, prospecting, investment expansion, compliance, and personal professional growth on daily and long-term levels.
- Optimize business operations by effectively planning and managing resources such as time and budget.
- Offer tailored investment product recommendations based on clients’ goals, resources, timelines, risk tolerance, and preferences.
- Conduct periodic portfolio reviews to confirm alignment with clients' aims and risk profiles.
- Collaborate with Investment Managers to align on client financial objectives, assess market conditions, and recommend asset allocations suitable for client portfolios.
- Act as the accountable owner of client accounts, responsible for all anti-money laundering procedures including Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.
- Maintain relationships with management teams and promptly escalate matters requiring supervisory oversight or approval.
- Work jointly with coverage, product, and support teams within Deutsche Bank to deliver comprehensive client solutions, integrating other divisions where relevant.
- Contribute actively to business growth plans, new service introduction, and uphold team performance and values.
- Participate in client social functions, public relations, and marketing initiatives to enhance client engagement.
Qualifications and Expertise
- Master's degree, preferably in Finance.
- Credentials such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) are advantageous.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory.
- A minimum of 10 to 12 years of professional experience in the finance industry.
- Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Client-centric and solution-focused with resilience in fast-paced environments.
- Exceptional investment insight and an established client network in the relevant market.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated collaboration and professional integrity.
- Effective resource management skills and ability to guide junior staff development.
