Job description
About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled, AI-experienced Principal Product Manager to lead development of the intelligence and reconciliation systems for Hopper Technology Solutions (HTS), covering Flights, Hotels, Cars, and Ancillaries. This crucial role manages systems that dictate pricing intelligence, supplier performance metrics, and financial accuracy across millions of travel transactions.
You will architect and expand model-based infrastructure that analyzes transactional data continuously, produces reference pricing, monitors performance changes, reconciles finances, and maintains revenue integrity in real-time.
This position is at the crossroads of marketplace economics, machine learning, and financial systems. You will collaborate closely with Data Science and Engineering teams to operationalize predictive models, set evaluation criteria, manage model lifecycles, and ensure these intelligent systems are reliable, adaptable, and measurable.
Your contributions will significantly influence partner economics, supplier transparency, and the global commerce platform of HTS.
Daily Responsibilities
- Own strategic roadmap and delivery for pricing intelligence, supplier performance metrics, and financial reconciliation spanning all travel verticals.
- Design and enhance reference pricing systems utilizing predictive models, elasticity data, competitive analysis, and real-time anomaly detection.
- Develop the supplier intelligence tier to convert transactional data into automated insights on supplier performance, demand forecasting, and pricing diagnostics.
- Define and control a single source of truth for revenue, margins, take rates, transactions, and cancellations across multiple systems and partners.
- Create frameworks for model evaluation, continuous monitoring, drift detection, and iterative improvements.
- Deploy automated reconciliation and anomaly detection tools to identify financial discrepancies proactively on a large scale.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration among Engineering, Data Science, Finance, Commercial, and Supply teams to deliver production-level, model-driven infrastructure.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 5 years in Product Management with proven ownership of AI-integrated products and model-dependent production systems.
- Practical experience in prompt engineering, evaluation setup, or prototyping with large language models or foundational models as part of product management tasks.
- Advanced skills independently using SQL and handling extensive transactional datasets.
- Demonstrated proficiency in lifecycle management of AI models including problem identification, signal design, evaluation metrics, monitoring, drift detection, and retraining strategies.
- Background shipping predictive analytics systems, anomaly detection solutions, automated decision frameworks, or dynamic pricing platforms at scale.
- Expertise in managing pricing algorithms, financial reporting systems, marketplace analytics tools, or reconciliation processes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of marketplace economics, pricing theory, and revenue generation models.
- Proven success delivering complex, multi-departmental projects with tangible business benefits.
- Outstanding communication skills to engage effectively with technical, commercial, and financial teams.
Additional Advantages
- Previous roles in Data Science, Engineering, or other highly technical fields.
- Experience within travel commerce, financial technology, advertising, or other transaction-intensive marketplaces.
Benefits and Work Environment
- Join a well-capitalized, ambitious startup offering competitive salaries and attractive pre-IPO equity opportunities.
- Receive a travel stipend through Carrot Cash.
- Enjoy benefits such as Flexdesk All Access Pass and home office stipend.
- Work within an entrepreneurial culture that encourages risk-taking and innovation.
- Experience transparent communication and direct access to leadership.
- Impactful work within small, agile teams.
Contractual Details
This position is an Independent Contractor role (Contract for Services), not a typical employment contract. The successful candidate will operate as a self-employed individual or via a Personal Service Company (PSC), responsible for their own tax and regulatory compliance with Irish law. Proof of valid business registration and professional indemnity insurance is required.
