About the Position
We are looking for an experienced and proactive People & Culture leader who combines strategic vision with strong hands-on execution skills. This role suits someone who has successfully developed and driven HR initiatives in growing organizations, thriving where careful planning, clear communication, and consistent follow-through are essential.
The ideal candidate will independently evaluate organizational needs, set clear HR priorities, and implement them effectively and sustainably. They will have proven expertise in designing and deploying HR programs, workflows, and initiatives that enhance employee experience, boost organizational efficiency, and support business goals.
This position demands both strategic planning and active involvement in operational execution. A collaborative, communicative, detail-focused, and highly accountable professional who naturally builds trust and drives alignment across teams will succeed here.
A major focus will be on cultivating and reinforcing the corporate culture through intentional leadership, consistent HR practices, strong partnerships with managers, and ongoing employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement pragmatic People & Culture strategies that align with company goals and changing business needs.
- Take full ownership of HR projects from ideation to execution, including planning, stakeholder communication, delivery, and follow-up.
- Create and roll out scalable HR systems, processes, tools, and initiatives enhancing employee experience.
- Establish organized frameworks for people operations emphasizing prioritization, documentation, and project oversight.
- Consistently provide leadership with timely updates on HR priorities, progress, risks, and actionable suggestions.
- Collaborate with leaders on workforce planning, organizational performance, employee relations, performance reviews, and team growth.
- Lead efforts to nurture a positive and value-driven culture through steady HR leadership and practices.
- Support management in improving leadership skills, accountability, communication, and staff experience.
- Regularly evaluate and refine HR workflows, processes, and employee journeys to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Assess and recommend modern HR technologies and emerging tools, including AI-driven solutions, to boost productivity and employee engagement.
- Work alongside leadership ensuring HR systems remain scalable, user-friendly, and business-aligned.
- Drive modernization in People & Culture by introducing innovative methods while preserving employee-centric approaches.
- Spot continuous improvement opportunities within HR programs, processes, and team capabilities.
- Serve as a dependable partner balancing strategic insight with pragmatic execution and day-to-day support.
- Maintain a solution-focused and resourceful attitude, capable of working autonomously while fostering collaboration.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 8 years progressive experience in Human Resources, with prior leadership responsibility at the HR Manager level.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related disciplines; CHRL designation is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing people strategies in growing or entrepreneurial organizations.
- Strong ability to independently organize and advance key HR priorities.
- Exceptional communication skills with a proactive and transparent engagement style with stakeholders.
- A mindset focused on creating, refining, and operationalizing effective people solutions.
- Comfortable balancing broad strategic planning with detailed, hands-on execution.
- Evidence of positively impacting culture, leadership behavior, and employee engagement.
- Experience leveraging HR technologies, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and employee satisfaction.
- Professional maturity, collaborative disposition, and strong accountability.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Comprehensive expertise across HR domains including compensation, performance management, employee relations, engagement, recruitment, and talent development.
- Strong business insight linking people strategies to organizational and financial results.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, hands-on role balancing design and implementation.
