Position Summary
The HR Manager acts as the main resource for employee relations within the designated market, offering advice, conducting research including investigations, and guiding both management and employees. This position also involves supporting various HR initiatives and disciplines as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Address and resolve employee complaints within the assigned market.
- Provide coaching and counseling to both employees and management to help resolve issues concerning employee relations, including interpreting and applying company policies.
- Review disciplinary measures and assist management in properly documenting employee performance and behavior issues.
- Lead comprehensive and prompt investigations, including travel to company locations as necessary. Ensure documentation and communication of findings and recommendations are maintained accurately.
- Consult with senior HR leadership and company executives on personnel matters when appropriate.
- Inform management and employees about available benefits, services, and programs.
- Conduct compliance activities and manage required reporting for the assigned market.
- Stay aware of and track changes in state and legislative regulations affecting the market, maintaining industry knowledge.
- Support HR projects as needed within the market or as directed by HR leadership.
- Analyze workforce and operational statistics to identify trends in compliance and employee relations and recommend appropriate interventions.
Additional Duties
- Recommend improvements to company policies, procedures, and practices regarding personnel matters.
- Participate in administrative meetings and attend relevant seminars.
- Continue to support HR initiatives and projects as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required, though 7+ years of HR experience may substitute for education requirements.
- At least 3 years of HR experience is preferred.
- Professional HR certification is considered advantageous.
- Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality sectors is a plus.
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are advantageous.
