Position Overview
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites qualified applicants to join the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine's Department of Pediatrics as a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor specializing in Pediatric Infectious Disease. The role involves delivering exceptional clinical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting educational innovation, and contributing actively to departmental and community initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive clinical care for pediatric patients with infectious diseases at multiple hospital sites including Sunrise/Children’s Hospital and UMC/Children’s Hospital, as well as outpatient clinics within the UNLV Health Faculty Practice plan.
- Participate in educational activities by demonstrating strong clinical teaching and leadership skills.
- Engage in administrative duties such as serving on hospital, departmental, and university committees, and contributing to pediatric outreach and advocacy programs.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possess an MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Be board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Infectious Disease.
- Be eligible to obtain an unrestricted Nevada medical license and malpractice insurance.
- Be credentialable at affiliated teaching hospitals.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, team collaboration, and a commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.
