Clinical Trials Regulatory Coordinator - Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine

Position Overview

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is seeking a Clinical Trials Regulatory Coordinator to join the Research Department at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine. This individual will manage the preparation, submission, maintenance, and oversight of regulatory documents essential to conducting clinical research. Their efforts ensure compliance with federal regulations, institutional policies, and sponsor requirements, acting as the primary liaison among investigators, the Institutional Review Board (IRB), study sponsors, and regulatory authorities. The coordinator will operate under the guidance of the Director of the Office of Clinical Trials and the Associate Dean of Research to uphold Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA regulations, and institutional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the entire regulatory process for clinical trials, encompassing document preparation, submission, and continued compliance monitoring.
• Serve as the main regulatory contact among study investigators, IRB, sponsors, and regulatory agencies.
• Ensure all clinical trials adhere to Good Clinical Practice principles, FDA rules, and organizational protocols.
• Work within federal and state laws and according to IRB-approved protocols to maintain regulatory compliance throughout study lifecycles.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or CHEA, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in clinical regulatory research, including grants or clinical protocol management.
• Preferred candidates will have experience with clinical trial regulatory activities, such as pre-study preparations, trial activation, ongoing maintenance, and close-out procedures.
• In absence of a bachelor's degree, applicants may qualify with four additional years of related experience or an associate degree plus two additional years of related experience.
