Assistant/Associate/Professor-In-Residence of Clinical Sciences (Endodontics) - School of Dental Medicine

Position Overview

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) School of Dental Medicine is inviting applications for two full-time, 12-month, non-tenure-track Clinical Sciences Faculty-In-Residence positions specializing in Endodontics. These roles include managing the pre-doctoral endodontic curriculum, encompassing both pre-clinical and clinical courses. The incumbents will supervise and provide patient care in both general dentistry clinics and specialty settings. Additionally, they will support Advanced Education programs in General Practice Residency, Pediatric Dentistry, and Orthodontics. Faculty practice opportunities, both intramural and private practice extramural, are available.

About the School of Dental Medicine

Since its inception in 2002, UNLV’s School of Dental Medicine, Nevada's only accredited dental institution, offers a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. It enrolls approximately 82 students annually from over 1,800 applicants. The school provides eight academic and advanced education certificate programs, maintains biomedical research facilities, offers continuing education for professionals, and conducts extensive community outreach. It serves more than 70,000 patients annually and holds continuous accreditation from the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).

Qualifications

• Required: D.M.D. or D.D.S. from a U.S. or Canadian accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or CHEA.
• Completion of specialty training in Endodontics from a CODA-accredited program.
• Eligibility for Nevada dental licensure based on graduation from a CODA-accredited dental school in the U.S. or Canada; credentialing must be completed before start date.
• Preferred: Minimum three years of dental teaching experience and Endodontics Board certification.
