Role overview
This position leads planning and operations support for BIT aftersales activities. The role is responsible for shaping and managing department strategy, Hoshin planning, project plans, SOPs, digital initiatives, budgets, and incentive schemes so the business can hit key objectives and KPIs while delivering a best-in-town guest experience. It also requires close follow-up on progress, regular Hoshin reviews, and support for Gemba Leaders in implementing TPS/TBP projects to strengthen Kaizen thinking and culture.
Key responsibilities
- Build the department Hoshin and roll it out across the aftersales leadership team, then conduct monthly progress reviews.
- Lead project management for major BIT initiatives and ensure action plans are tracked through completion.
- Prepare the annual budget for BIT aftersales centers in coordination with the centers, covering sales, COS, OPEX, CAPEX, manpower planning, and related areas.
- Ensure KPI, financial, and management reports are produced regularly, accurate, and available for timely decision-making.
- Develop monthly management presentations and brief BIT leadership on performance, key initiatives, and action items.
- Coach and mentor frontline staff and Gemba Leaders on TPS, TBP, and SGA implementation to reinforce a continuous-improvement culture.
- Support BIT centers in maintaining their Obeya practices and showcasing challenges and achievements to management.
- Design and manage incentive and reward programs that help motivate Gemba staff and unlock their full potential.
- Organize important visits and events for the BIT aftersales department.
- Carry out research and surveys to identify market gaps, opportunities, and the needs of guests and internal stakeholders.
- Provide support for the implementation, sustainability, and rollout of core BIT activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Automotive, Mechanical, or Industrial discipline.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in automotive aftersales planning and operations.
- Strong background in automotive aftersales business management.
- Ability to manage projects, monitor KPIs, and drive execution with disciplined follow-up.
- Skills in strategic thinking, time management, problem-solving, presentation, and event hosting.
- Knowledge of SOP development and the ability to update and improve operating procedures at BIT centers.
- Ability to ensure quality and accuracy in KPI reporting.
- Professional communication in English and Arabic.
- Project Management, TBP & Kaizen Coach, and Presentation Skills certifications or memberships are noted for the role.
Additional information
The role operates under general supervision for planning and operations Kaizen activities, with broad authority to manage those activities. It focuses on helping the organization achieve its Hoshin through timely delivery of key objectives and KPIs by Gemba staff. The job holder is expected to support both the adoption and the long-term sustainability of core BIT practices.
