Role Overview

This position involves managing quality assurance processes for ODM products in mass production, conducting audits of ODM and EMS partners, and driving continual quality improvements globally. The role supports new production transfers, sets manufacturing quality KPIs, and serves as the main problem-solver for quality-related concerns in manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct systematic and periodic audits of ODM/EMS partners, promoting consistent improvements to meet quality standards.
  • Align and standardize global quality processes and procedures across sites.
  • Develop and enforce inspection protocols for materials, in-process items, and finished products, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead resolution of quality issues in mass production of ODM products with swift and effective solutions.
  • Support localization and ramp-up of overseas production lines and establish quality metrics to facilitate continuous EMS enhancements.
  • Serve as the end-to-end owner for managing carrier audits, out-of-box inspections, and customer complaints, collaborating closely with ODM/EMS.
  • Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects aimed at boosting manufacturing quality control capabilities at EMS sites.
  • Mediate and coordinate disputes or disagreements between overseas locations, EMS, and ODM entities.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or related discipline.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in manufacturing, operations, or quality management within the smartphone industry.
  • Practical exposure to supply chain operations, including at least three areas from manufacturing, SMT, assembly, industrial engineering, testing, new product introduction, and quality management; SMT expertise is advantageous.
  • Strong familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and solid statistical and analytical problem-solving skills; Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Experience with digital and AI technologies is a plus.
  • Excellent risk assessment and decision-making capabilities under dynamic conditions.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with strong interpersonal, collaboration, and influence skills.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English; Mandarin language skills are favorable.
  • Exhibits responsibility, honesty, transparency, and accountability in all duties.
