Role Overview

As an Inside Sales Representative for East Africa, you will communicate daily with executives at large organizations, helping you build strong professional relationships and grow your career. The role includes structured training on Lenovo’s product range and development of account management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and grow the customer accounts assigned to you, with the aim of increasing Lenovo’s revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction.
  • Recommend suitable products and configurations based on each customer’s requirements.
  • Drive profitable growth across your customer portfolio.
  • Develop productive relationships with external vendors and partner organizations when needed to deliver complete customer solutions.
  • Work with internal teams such as technical sales, marketing, and delivery to support sales execution.
  • Coordinate closely with field sales colleagues and other Lenovo sales teams to meet shared revenue and profitability targets.
  • Prepare weekly updates on account activity, quarterly performance reports, forecasts, and business plans against targets.
  • Draft proposals, manage pricing follow-ups, and stay engaged until the project is completed.
  • Partner with channel distributors and resellers to manage opportunities and ensure smooth order processing.
  • Operate from Kenya while supporting distributors, channel partners, and assigned customers across the East Africa region.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of prior experience in inside sales or broader sales roles.
  • Background in the IT sector or a related field is preferred; experience in infrastructure solutions, software, or services is an advantage.
  • A customer-focused, self-driven, organized, and target-oriented working style.
  • Strong command of MS Office tools.
  • Good presentation abilities and clear communication skills.
