Role Overview
The Senior Accountant will ensure financial records are accurate, supported by proper documentation, and reconciled in line with accepted accounting principles and standards. The role works closely with different finance teams to support reliable financial processing, reporting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of management accounts, fund flow statements, and the annual budget, while monitoring suspense accounts and highlighting operational exceptions to the Accounts Managers.
- Assist with deposit renewals, collateral reporting, and bank entry sheets, and reconcile bank statements to produce financial updates for the department and corporate leadership.
- Coordinate with external and internal auditors by providing the necessary records, data, and explanations required for audit activities.
- Manage monthly closing activities, review income-related accounts for accuracy, and help produce reports for departmental and corporate management.
- Oversee the Accountant and Cashier in monthly cash reconciliations and balance sheet control to maintain dependable financial records.
- Lead performance discussions with team members when needed to support development and build performance awareness.
- Examine final accounts, journal vouchers, and ledger entries to confirm correctness and deliver trustworthy management reports in accordance with accounting rules and regulations.
- Prepare and consolidate financial data for corporate tax reporting in compliance with government requirements and applicable accounting and auditing standards.
- Coach and develop team members, support growth opportunities, and contribute to succession and career progression planning.

Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification is required.
