Job description

About the role

Inizio Engage works in a long-term partnership with a leading biotechnology organization spanning Commercial, Patient Solutions, and Medical Affairs functions. This role is centered on developing high-quality medical information content across multiple channels for therapeutic areas, ensuring communications are scientifically sound, meaningful, and suitable for patients, healthcare professionals, and access stakeholders.

This opportunity offers the chance to join Inizio Engage and support a major biotechnology client in a hybrid setup based in Titusville, New Jersey, with on-site presence required three days each week.

What you will do

  • Develop, co-develop, and quality-check medical content for patients, healthcare professionals, and payers so that the material remains scientifically robust, balanced, and effective. This includes field medical slides for Medical Science Liaisons and Managed Care Liaisons, as well as standard and more complex medical information responses.
  • Monitor repeated inquiries and determine when new standard responses should be created.
  • As required, conduct medical reviews for scientific accuracy and contribute to the creation and use of scientific and promotional materials in line with approved client procedures, including PRC and RDC workflows.
  • Work closely with client Medical Content Strategy Leads and MI leadership to identify learning needs for Medical Information, Communications teams, internal partners, and external vendors.
  • Draft, review, edit, and deliver medical training content when needed.
  • Prepare US medical information responses by interpreting and summarizing complex scientific literature in a clear, balanced, compliant, and clinically useful format for healthcare decision-making.
  • Maintain a strong product-response medical information database and support launch readiness planning that aligns with customer scientific needs.
  • Act as the therapeutic area subject matter expert while keeping product and disease knowledge current and detailed.
  • Carry out continuous literature reviews and organize complex scientific data into structured, usable formats.
  • Offer clinical direction and medical information support to help resolve escalated medical or access questions coming through the contact center.
  • Use internal scientific narratives and creative data visualization approaches to build medical resources and tools that improve scientific engagement.
  • Review difficult or escalated medical information cases.
  • Assess derivative content and confirm it stays aligned with medical information responses and approved review processes.
  • Provide stakeholders with practical insights and recommendations based on therapeutic area and product expertise.
  • Create or refresh reference documents and data-on-file summaries.
  • Support quality improvement and training activities for team members in partnership with leadership and, where relevant, the client.

Requirements

  • An advanced degree in clinical or scientific study, such as a PhD, PharmD, or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in medical communications, with neurology exposure preferred.
  • At least 3 years of direct medical information experience and/or related medical affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry, clinical environment, or a comparable setting.
  • Strong verbal, written, and listening communication abilities.
  • Comfortable using Google Workspace and Office 365.
  • Able to work effectively on your own as well as in team settings.
  • Capable of using computer hardware and software smoothly in day-to-day work.
