Position Overview
Join a rapidly expanding US biotech company as a Medical Science Liaison in Germany, focusing on the launch of an innovative rare disease product in the fields of endocrinology and ophthalmology. Be part of a startup-like environment and contribute from day one by helping build a three-person MSL team in Western Germany.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), treatment centers, and medical experts.
- Provide medical expertise and engage in scientific dialogue related to rare diseases, endocrinology, and ophthalmology.
- Support clinical trials and site engagement during pre- and post-launch phases.
- Participate in national and international conferences, establish advisory boards, and organize expert meetings.
- Generate insights and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Medical, Clinical, Commercial, and Market Access.
- Help shape the MSL structure within a dynamic, agile startup culture.
Candidate Profile
- Academic qualifications: PhD, MD, PharmD, or an equivalent scientific degree.
- Several years of MSL experience, preferably with hands-on launch experience at a biotech startup.
- Expertise or experience in rare diseases, endocrinology, or ophthalmology is advantageous.
- Strong aptitude for building trustworthy relationships with KOLs.
- Enthusiasm for working in a startup-style environment that is hands-on, agile, and flexible.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both German and English.
- Fluent written and spoken German and English.
- Willingness to travel within the designated region.
Offer and Working Conditions
