Role Overview
We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Market Research Assistant / Analyst to provide essential support in market intelligence, consumer insight generation, and strategic business development through thorough research and detailed data analysis. Your role will encompass gathering, interpreting, and effectively communicating market information to uncover trends, consumer behaviors, competitor dynamics, and new business growth avenues.
Key Duties
- Perform primary and secondary research using dependable sources to gather relevant market data.
- Collect, organize, validate, and analyze both qualitative and quantitative datasets.
- Watch industry developments, track customer patterns, monitor competitor actions, and identify emerging market potentials.
- Create and administer surveys, questionnaires, and interviews to capture valuable insights.
- Develop comprehensive market research reports, presentations, and dashboards for stakeholders.
- Analyze demographic information, purchasing behaviors, and market segmentation patterns.
- Support teams in product development, marketing initiatives, and strategic planning using data-based advice.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking and SWOT assessments to understand market positioning.
- Monitor key performance indicators and evaluate market or campaign effectiveness.
- Maintain research archives, documentation, and systems ensuring current and accurate data.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, sales, and business units to bolster strategic projects.
- Spot market risks, potential opportunities, and new consumer trends.
- Present findings clearly using visual supports such as charts and reports.
- Ensure adherence to high standards in research methods and data collection ethics.
- Continuously enhance research processes and improve analytical approaches.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Data Analytics, Social Sciences, or related discipline.
- Strong grasp of market research methods, data analytics, and consumer behavior science.
- Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other data analysis or presentation software.
- Familiarity with survey platforms, statistical packages, or BI tools is considered a plus.
- Excellent critical thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate insights effectively.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication proficiency.
- Attention to detail and commitment to ensuring data accuracy and research quality.
- Effective organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
