Housekeeping Supervisor - The Singapore EDITION

Position Overview

The Housekeeping Supervisor at The Singapore EDITION ensures that guest rooms, public spaces, and facilities like pools meet high cleanliness and quality standards after cleaning. This role involves reviewing sold room reports, validating room statuses, identifying discrepancies, prioritizing cleaning assignments, and coordinating activities with housekeeping and other hotel departments including Front Office, Engineering, and Laundry.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect rooms and areas post-cleaning to uphold quality standards.
• Run and review sold room reports to manage room status and prioritize tasks.
• Coordinate communication and collaboration between housekeeping, engineering, front office, and laundry teams.
• Document and resolve issues with room discrepancies in liaison with the Front Desk.
• Manage preparation and distribution of updated room assignments and communicate changes to incoming shifts.
• Support housekeeping management in daily operational tasks, including hiring, training, evaluation, scheduling, counseling, and employee motivation.
• Adhere to company safety and security protocols, reporting hazards and completing required safety training.
• Maintain a professional appearance and confidentiality, while protecting company property.
• Engage guests warmly, anticipate their needs, and provide assistance especially for those with disabilities.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving items up to 55 pounds independently or heavier with assistance, maneuver housekeeping carts over varied surfaces, and perform demanding physical movements required by the job.
• Use computers and point-of-sale systems to input and access job-related information.
• Complete other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Minimum one year of relevant experience in housekeeping.
• At least one year of experience in a supervisory capacity.
• No specific licenses or certifications required.
