Job description
About the company
Sleek uses proprietary software and AI, together with a strong customer-first approach, to simplify back-office operations for micro SMEs. The company helps entrepreneurs reclaim time so they can focus on growing their business and serving customers.
Sleek operates across three core businesses: corporate secretarial services, accounting and bookkeeping, and fintech payments. Its corporate secretarial offering automates incorporation, filings, nominee director services, mailroom support, and immigration workflows through custom online robots and SleekSign. In accounting and bookkeeping, the company combines its own SleekBooks ledger, AI tools, and customer service to modernise accounting, tax, payroll, and bookkeeping. Its fintech payments offering supports new businesses with digital banking services.
Founded in 2017, Sleek serves around 15,000 customers and has a team of about 500 employees across Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, and the UK. The business has raised Series B funding and has achieved more than 70% compound annual revenue growth over the past five years. It has also been recognised by major publications and platforms as one of Asia’s fastest-growing companies. Backed by strong investors, Sleek is positioned to become a cash-flow-positive, tech-enabled unicorn in the Asia-Pacific region.
Role overview
Sleek is hiring a Head of Sales to lead and scale its Australian commercial function from the Sydney office. This is a senior leadership role with direct responsibility for revenue results, sales strategy, team performance, and market expansion.
You will shape the go-to-market approach, build a strong sales organisation, and help establish Sleek as a preferred partner for Australian businesses.
Mission and outcomes
Your goal is to accelerate revenue in Australia by creating a high-performing sales team, converting market opportunities into sustainable growth, and strengthening Sleek’s position in the market.
- Improve conversion rates and lift average deal size across the sales team.
- Build a consistently strong team where every Account Executive achieves or beats monthly targets.
- Create repeatable sales processes, playbooks, and coaching systems that reduce reliance on individual effort.
- Provide the leadership team with clear forecasting and pipeline visibility.
Key responsibilities
You will own the Australia sales strategy and revenue goals while reporting to the Global VP of Sales & Customer Success. As part of the Australia leadership group, you will also contribute to decisions on pricing, packaging, and go-to-market direction.
You will identify growth opportunities across customer segments, verticals, channels, and competitive landscapes, and work closely with Marketing to improve lead quality, demand generation, and campaign performance.
Your leadership remit includes hiring, developing, and retaining Account Executives and SDRs. You will coach the team on consultative selling, objection handling, and value-based selling, while building a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
You will also own the sales commission structure, ensuring it encourages the right behaviour and is handled fairly and on time.
On the execution side, you will maintain disciplined pipeline management in HubSpot, partner with CRM specialists to automate low-value tasks, and use AI tools where they create value. You will oversee weekly and monthly reporting, forecast accuracy, and pipeline health with support from Data and CRM teams.
As needed, you will personally close strategic or high-value deals, spending about 10-15% of your time on direct selling and setting the standard for the team. You will also improve lead handling, sales process efficiency, and handover quality across the funnel.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in B2B or SaaS sales, ideally within services similar to Sleek’s Australian offering. You should have a strong record of building or transforming inbound-led sales teams, with hybrid inbound and outbound experience considered an advantage.
You will need strong commercial judgement, including an understanding of unit economics, LTV:CAC, and the drivers of scalable growth. Experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM at scale is required.
Skills and experience required
- At least 8 years of experience in B2B or SaaS sales.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience leading and scaling sales teams.
- Proven success in consistently meeting and exceeding revenue goals in the Australian market.
- Experience working with HubSpot or an equivalent CRM platform in a scaled environment.
- Exposure to AI-enabled sales tools and modern sales technology is a plus.
- Ability to build or improve inbound-led sales functions; hybrid sales experience is advantageous.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business economics, including LTV:CAC.
Location and language
This role is based in Sydney and follows a hybrid arrangement, with 3-4 days per week in the Sydney office. Candidates from across Australia and overseas may apply if they are willing to relocate or commute.
Full professional fluency in English is required.
Behavioural expectations
Sleek also places high value on the way people work. Recent experience should demonstrate the following traits:
- Ownership: Follow through on commitments, take responsibility, and proactively help resolve issues.
- Humility: Stay open to feedback, learn from others, and work well in a collaborative environment.
- Structured thinking: Apply sound judgement and practical problem-solving in a complex, multi-layered business.
- Listening skills: Make prospects feel heard and respond with calm, attentive, and cooperative communication.
- Data-driven mindset: Use evidence and metrics to guide decisions and assess performance.
- Constructive communication: Handle difficult conversations with kindness, empathy, and professionalism.
Interview process
The selection process is expected to take no more than three weeks, depending on availability. The format of interviews may be by video or in person, based on location and role requirements.
- TA screening: a 15-30 minute video conversation to review your background, expectations, and fit for the role.
- Case study / technical round: a 60-minute presentation with the VP of Sales.
- Soft skills and fit assessment: two 45-minute conversations with the CRO and Co-Founder & Managing Director Australia.
- Reference checks: two short calls with references you provide. These may be brought forward earlier in the process if needed.
Background screening and compliance
Sleek is a regulated organisation and may conduct background checks depending on the role. These checks can include verification of education, criminal history, political exposure, and bankruptcy or adverse credit history. Consent will be requested before any checks are carried out. An adverse result may affect probation outcomes depending on the position.
By applying, you confirm that you have read and accepted the candidate Data Privacy Statement available on Sleek’s website.
Benefits
Sleek offers a culture built around humility and kindness, with an inclusive environment that does not take itself too seriously.
The company supports flexible working, including up to 1-2 days of work from home each week, although this role is best suited to someone who is mostly office-based and works closely with the Australian team.
Employees receive competitive pay, generous paid time off and holiday arrangements, and an A$1,200 wellness allowance that can be used for home office equipment or health and fitness expenses. Some employees may also be eligible for an employee share ownership plan, allowing them to participate in the company’s future growth.
There is also a strong emphasis on learning and career development through internal and external training programmes. Sleek is actively building AI capability and a regional centre of AI excellence, offering significant responsibility, autonomy, and growth opportunities.
The company is a certified B Corp and is committed to being a force for good while contributing to a more inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy.
