Job description

About Arine

Arine is a San Francisco-based healthcare technology and clinical services company focused on helping people receive the safest and most effective treatments for their changing healthcare needs. The company uses a software platform to improve medication management by combining data science, machine learning, AI, and clinical expertise to deliver personalized care plans at scale.

The company works to improve outcomes for complex patients who often face difficult medication and care-access challenges. Backed by healthcare investors and partnered with leading providers and health organizations, Arine aims to deliver recommendations and clinical interventions that improve health results and lower costs.

Why this role matters

Arine is in a fast-moving growth stage, with a workforce spread across different operating models and a leadership team that expects close partnership with the People function. The organization already has a strong foundation and a capable team, but it now needs a leader who can build the next layer of culture, talent strategy, and organizational capability on top of that base.

What you will own

  • Work with the senior leadership team to shape people strategies that support the business, cross-functional collaboration, and operating efficiency.
  • Act as the company’s change-management partner, helping leaders guide their teams through transformation with practical frameworks and support.
  • Coach function leaders to strengthen their people-management skills.
  • Advise on organizational structure as the business scales and becomes more complex.
  • Own headcount planning and backfill approval processes in partnership with the CFO.
  • Design and run organizational health tracking, report trends to leadership, and drive action plans to address gaps.
  • Manage the pulse survey program and turn anonymous feedback into direct recommendations for the SLT.
  • Support culture-building initiatives and employee-experience improvements using data.
  • Oversee recruiting so hiring plans, market data, candidate profiles, and seasonal hiring needs are aligned across technical and clinical roles.
  • Work with recruiting leaders on offer strategy, compensation benchmarking, and leveling decisions.
  • Lead talent assessment and succession planning efforts.
  • Partner with functional leaders to define employee growth and development paths.
  • Own core people operations, including HRIS, immigration, benefits, compliance, and leave administration.
  • Ensure high precision in time-sensitive legal and regulatory work.
  • Continue and expand AI-enabled people-operations work, including workflow automation and analytics, using available Rippling tools and dashboards.
  • Create knowledge-transfer programs and improve onboarding so employees reach productivity faster.
  • Lead, coach, and advocate for the People team.
  • Support direct reports as they take on new responsibilities and grow into their roles.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate brings deep people-leadership experience, has worked closely with executive leadership, and is comfortable making progress in ambiguity. Experience in a high-growth tech company, especially at the Series B to Series D stage, is important. The role also calls for experience in healthcare, health tech, or another regulated environment, along with exposure to engineering or product organizations.

Additional requirements

  • At least 15 years of people-leadership experience, including 3 or more years in a Head of People or VP-level role.
  • Proven ability to influence senior executives and business leaders.
  • Experience in a fast-growing company between Series B and Series D.
  • Comfort working without clear structure or constant direction.
  • Background in healthcare, health tech, or a regulated industry.
  • Experience supporting engineering or product teams.
  • Familiarity with Rippling as an HRIS platform.
  • Exposure to AI enablement or responsible AI use in a people function.
  • Ability to support both a technical organization and a high-volume operational workforce such as clinical, support, call center, or similar teams.

Location and work setup

This is an onsite role based in San Francisco. Candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area should be able to commute to the Market Street office at least 2 to 3 days per week.

Compensation and perks

The expected annual salary for this position is between $240,000 and $260,000. The final offer may vary depending on experience, job level, location, and other role-related factors. This amount does not include additional compensation elements, benefits, or perks.

Joining Arine offers the chance to shape the company’s future in a high-growth environment while working closely with clinicians, engineers, software architects, and digital health entrepreneurs.

Eligibility and hiring conditions

  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • A successful background check is required.

Information security expectations

All employees are part of Arine’s Information Security Management Program and must complete periodic training on information security awareness and HIPAA guidelines. Team members are responsible for maintaining a secure work environment and following all company policies and procedures. Role-specific training must be completed after hire before access is granted.
