About the Team
The People Operations and Insights team enhances project management discipline within the People team and its stakeholders. They focus on enabling innovative People programs and products to support sustainable company growth.
Role Overview
As a Project Manager in this team, you will lead cross-functional projects impacting various People team pillars, ensuring thorough execution of high-priority initiatives by applying structured project management techniques and managing complex organizational dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently address challenging and unclear issues from start to finish.
- Design and execute project plans, streamline workflows, and keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
- Track project progress, foresee risks, and introduce mitigation plans for timely success.
- Collaborate closely with teams such as Legal, Finance, and Engineering to enhance processes and controls.
- Maintain project governance by adhering to standards and best practices.
- Prepare presentations for senior leadership and diverse stakeholders.
- Encourage collaboration, innovation, and continuous enhancement within the People team.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should have over seven years in project management, business operations, strategy, or consulting, including at least two years embedded in an HR function. The role requires proven experience navigating complex environments, building cross-functional partnerships, and utilizing data-driven problem solving and decision making. Excellent communication and proficiency with project management tools and methodologies are expected, alongside the ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a dynamic setting.
Preferred experience includes familiarity with change management frameworks, creation of enablement and training resources, experience with HR systems, use of AI tools to boost productivity, and advanced skills in Mac OS and Google Suite applications.
Work Environment
This position supports hybrid work; employees either work in an office or remotely if located at least 35 miles from a Stripe office. Those office-assigned are expected to spend at least half their working time onsite or collaborating in person. Remote workers have flexibility but are encouraged to live near their work location. Note that Stripe does not cover relocation expenses for remote employees.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary in the US ranges from $127,600 to $191,400, adjustable based on level, experience, and location, with additional potential for equity, bonuses, 401(k), medical benefits, and wellness stipends.
