About the Role
Lovely Professional University is in search of a seasoned, globally networked, and results-driven leader to direct its International Placements and Global Corporate Outreach department. This vital role is tasked with creating a robust international placement ecosystem by opening worldwide employment avenues, establishing strategic corporate partnerships, enhancing alumni involvement, and improving the employability of both Indian and international students.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement a thorough strategy focused on international placements and global career pathways.
- Develop sustainable routes for Indian students to access employment across various countries.
- Support placement prospects for international students in their home nations through corporate and alumni networks.
- Broaden the institution’s international placement presence by tapping into new geographical regions, sectors, and employer categories.
- Forge and nurture robust alliances with multinational corporations, recruitment agencies, and professional bodies worldwide.
- Lead initiatives to acquire global employers offering internships, graduate programs, and permanent roles.
- Represent the university at international recruitment events, conferences, and industry forums.
- Manage relationships and collaborations with international recruitment consultants and placement agencies, including contractual negotiations and performance monitoring.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships, MoUs, and collaborative projects with universities, corporate entities, chambers of commerce, and governmental agencies globally.
- Design and deliver student readiness programs that cover international hiring standards including interview preparation, cross-cultural communication, professional conduct, resume and LinkedIn profile optimization, language skills, and understanding country-specific employment practices.
- Continuously analyze global labour market trends, regulatory frameworks, and emerging opportunities to advise leadership and guide placement strategies.
- Ensure compliance with international recruitment laws, visa requirements, and oversee all related documentation and mobility support for students.
- Cultivate and engage a worldwide alumni network that aids placements, mentoring, and employer introductions.
- Develop key performance indicators, oversee data analytics related to placements, and produce reports for senior management.
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate a dedicated team across various university departments collaborating with corporate partners, government bodies, and global agencies to uphold a culture of excellence and innovation.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in relevant fields such as Management, International Business, Human Resources, Marketing, Corporate Relations, Educational Management or related disciplines.
- Additional international certifications and experience abroad are advantageous.
- 12 to 20+ years of progressive experience in international placements, corporate relations, global recruitment, talent acquisition, business development, career services, or higher education partnerships.
- Proven track record in establishing international employer networks and handling overseas placement programs.
- Strong understanding of international labor markets, mobility frameworks, visa policies, and recruitment practices globally.
