Role Overview

The position of Senior Officer/Assistant Director of Placements aims to enhance core placement quality by establishing robust industry collaborations in disciplines such as Civil Engineering, Bio Sciences, Agriculture, Chemical Engineering, Physical Education, Hotel Management, Journalism, and Law. The role focuses on leveraging expertise in corporate sales, relationship management, and employer engagement.

Responsibilities

• Forge and nurture strategic partnerships with industry players corresponding to the university’s academic fields.
• Oversee full placement cycle, including onboarding employers, mapping relevant jobs, organizing campus recruitment drives, and securing job offers.
• Create placement opportunities via outreach in corporate sales, managing accounts, and networking with industry professionals.
• Meet or exceed placement metrics relating to quantity, quality, compensation packages, and core job alignment.
• Maintain and analyze placement management information systems, employer databases, and prepare reports and forecasts.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Postgraduate degree holder with between 2 to 8 years of experience in placement activities, corporate sales, business development, or key account management.
• Demonstrated track record in industry recruitment, business-to-business sales, or talent acquisition through partnership building.
• In-depth knowledge of core industry roles that align with the identified academic disciplines.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Target-oriented approach combined with a strong focus on cultivating relationships and achieving measurable outcomes.
