Role Summary

Reporting to the Vice President of Performance Marketing, the Growth Marketing Manager will steer lifecycle strategy and campaign execution to drive loan volume, retention, and cross-selling opportunities. This role involves collaboration across departments to build and optimize marketing initiatives backed by data and rigorous testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive lifecycle marketing campaigns that influence significant portions of the customer journey to enhance loan volume, customer lifetime value, retention, and cross-product sales.
  • Leverage behavioral and real-time data to create targeted audience segmentation and work closely with Creative teams to innovate and validate marketing creative.
  • Design, implement, and analyze A/B and multivariate experiments to optimize campaign results continuously.
  • Expand cross-product growth strategies to smoothly transition customers within the product suite (e.g., from student loan refinancing to personal loans) to maximize lifetime value.
  • Collaborate effectively with Data Science, Product, Creative, and Legal teams to develop robust attribution and measurement frameworks and ensure prompt, high-quality execution.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in marketing with a strong analytical focus; the specific marketing channel experience is flexible but requires connecting programs to measurable business outcomes and proficiency with marketing technology stacks.
  • A quantitative academic background in economics, engineering, statistics, mathematics, or equivalent practical experience that enables data-driven decision-making and reporting.
  • Proven expertise in a culture of experimentation—developing hypotheses, defining sample sizes, interpreting data candidly, and rapidly iterating to optimize.
  • Ability to build a clear, evidence-supported perspective on targeting, messaging, creative approaches, and timing, coupled with effective communication skills to influence senior management.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented executor who manages shifting priorities and leads projects hands-on with a commitment to excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in fintech, lending, or regulated B2C industries with a solid understanding of compliance regulations such as CAN-SPAM, TCPA, CCPA/CPRA.
  • Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation, alongside hands-on use of lifecycle marketing platforms like Braze.
  • Familiarity with advanced measurement techniques including incrementality testing, geo-holdouts, Media Mix Modeling (MMM), and Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA).
  • Demonstrated success scaling emerging channels such as SMS, push notifications, and in-product marketing, and building cross-sell strategies from the ground up.

Location and Compensation

This position is US-based, located in San Francisco, CA. The salary range is $140,000 to $175,000 USD per year, with additional eligibility for performance bonuses and equity grants. Compensation is determined based on qualifications, location, and budget considerations.
