Group Director of Finance

About the Role

As the Group Director of Finance at Lancemore Hotel Group, you will steer the financial strategy for a dynamic and expanding hospitality organisation. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving on the Executive Committee, this pivotal role entails managing all financial and management accounting activities, overseeing cash flow, and ensuring precise financial governance across multiple high-end hotel venues.

You will lead and collaborate with General Managers to maintain top-tier financial controls and lead a team of seven finance professionals in a high-performing and engaging environment. Responsibilities also include enhancing financial and operational systems, policies, and procedures such as budgeting, forecasting, and end-of-month reporting. A hands-on approach to daily through monthly financial reporting and compliance is expected.

Building robust relationships with joint venture partners, owners, and key stakeholders including banking, insurance, tax advisors, and major service contractors will be crucial. In addition, you will contribute strategically to business directions, manage asset maintenance and capital expenditures, as well as support acquisition, opening, and refurbishment projects across the group.

About You

• You are an experienced senior finance leader, ideally with regional, executive, or multi-property hospitality experience.
• You bring a proven track record of success, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to foster rapport throughout an organisation.
• You possess a continuous learning mindset, aiming to grow yourself and your team to drive organisational excellence.
• You have a flair for influence and can navigate challenging financial discussions adeptly.
• Your organisational and problem-solving skills are well developed, complemented by advanced proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with payroll systems is advantageous.
• You hold a current CA or CPA qualification.
