Job description
About the Role
The appointed individual will actively contribute to supporting Singapore Polytechnic's outreach and engagement efforts within the Department of Communications. This role involves collaboration with various internal departments and academic schools, along with external entities including secondary schools, educators, and other stakeholders, to effectively plan and execute outreach initiatives. These activities are aimed at increasing awareness of Singapore Polytechnic's academic programmes and strengthening connections with prospective students and their influencers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with secondary schools by organizing education and career guidance activities such as school roadshows, talks, and learning journeys.
- Assist in coordinating major outreach events and platforms targeting prospective students, their parents, and educators, including campus events like First Steps and Open House.
- Collaborate closely with academic schools to facilitate their outreach programmes and stakeholder engagement activities through careful planning and coordination.
- Contribute to the planning and support of international student outreach and recruitment campaigns with the goal of boosting international student enrolment figures.
- Manage recruitment, training, and deployment processes for SP student ambassadors to ensure effective support for outreach efforts.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of relevant qualifications in communications, marketing, education, business, or related disciplines.
- Fluency in spoken and written English, coupled with strong interpersonal communication skills to engage professionally with students, parents, educators, and internal stakeholders.
- Proven organisational and multitasking capabilities to handle various outreach activities, events, and stakeholder relationships simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team working with academic schools, departments, and external partners.
- Prior exposure to outreach, event management, student engagement, educational marketing, or stakeholder management is viewed as beneficial.

- This role is initially offered as a 2-year contract position.
