About the Role

The School of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering invites applications for the position of Lecturer in Mechatronics & Robotics. This role focuses on nurturing the next generation of engineers who will drive advancements in robotics and automation, critical to modern manufacturing and Industry 4.0.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging educational programs for a diverse student body comprising full-time students, adult learners, and industry professionals. Emphasis will be placed on integrating real-world manufacturing applications into the curriculum. Mentorship beyond academics will help foster students’ personal and professional development.

In addition to teaching duties, the role demands active involvement in applied research, consultancy projects, and forming partnerships with industry to enrich the learning environment. Contribution to the ongoing development of curriculum and institutional initiatives is also expected to ensure course content remains cutting-edge and relevant.

Teaching Subjects

  • Robotics and Automation
  • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
  • 2D/3D Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD)
  • C/C++ or Python Programming

Candidate Profile

A tertiary degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related field is mandatory. Candidates with a minimum of two years’ professional experience within automation, manufacturing, or related Industry 4.0 sectors will be highly regarded. Fresh graduates demonstrating solid technical knowledge and a passionate commitment to education are also encouraged to apply.
