About the Role

Singapore Polytechnic seeks a passionate and experienced Lecturer in Business Administration to join the School of Business, focusing on nurturing future business leaders and strengthening ties between academia and industry. The role involves contributing to curriculum innovation, spearheading industry collaborations, and enhancing student learning experiences across Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging educational programs for PET and CET students, fostering impactful learning outcomes.
  • Design, develop, and periodically review curricula, learning resources, and assessments to ensure alignment with industry standards and career preparedness.
  • Lead or collaborate on curriculum innovation in specialties such as supply chain management, automation, international trade, global trade, and logistics.
  • Establish and nurture partnerships with industry stakeholders to promote authentic learning experiences, including student projects, internships, and consultancy opportunities.
  • Drive engagement initiatives like client-based projects, guest lectures, and strategic collaborations that connect students with real-world business challenges.
  • Mentor students actively in competitions, industry projects, internships, overseas programs, and community activities to support holistic development.
  • Contribute to CET program development and delivery, focusing on adult learners and professionals.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior faculty members and participate in institutional initiatives and quality assurance activities.
  • Manage teaching-related administrative duties such as lesson planning, assessment coordination, and maintaining quality standards.
  • Offer comprehensive student support, including coaching and pastoral care.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years’ relevant industry experience in international trade, business, global trade and logistics, or supply chain management with demonstrable applied business impact.
  • In-depth expertise in areas including business operations excellence, supply chain automation and analytics, sustainable global trade and logistics, enterprise digitalization, and sustainable transport and warehousing.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain productive industry partnerships.
  • Sound knowledge of current industry trends and the integration of technology and digital tools in business processes.
  • Proficiency with logistical and supply chain management systems and business productivity software such as Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong commitment to education, student mentorship, and academic development.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of collaborative teams, taking initiative in project leadership and partnership building.
