Job description
About the Role
Join the Office Management Section under the Corporate Services Division at the Department of Statistics (DOS) in Singapore. You will play a key role in managing the office relocation project and supporting the overall operations and upkeep of office facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage DOS’s office relocation and renovation efforts, including preparing tender invitations, evaluating bids, and awarding contracts for renovation-related goods and services.
- Oversee the relocation process to the new office and the reinstatement of the current office, coordinating with contractors to identify and resolve defects during renovation.
- Work alongside the logistics team to plan, prepare, and execute the physical move between office locations.
- Handle the disposal of outdated and surplus assets before the relocation and ensure the tagging and inventory of assets at the new premises after the move.
- Coordinate with contractors to address defects throughout the defect liability period.
- Support daily operational tasks by ensuring office premises and equipment maintenance are conducted per established schedules and contractual agreements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Possess knowledge in building management, facilities management, engineering, quantity surveying, or related fields.
- Experience in Government Procurement and/or facilities management is advantageous but not required.
- Able to read and interpret building plans and mechanical & electrical (M&E) drawings.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, comfortable engaging with stakeholders at varying levels to foster mutually beneficial outcomes.
