Overview
This leadership role focuses on defining and managing the strategy for information systems, digital services, and related technology in Japan, ensuring alignment with stakeholder requirements and corporate governance. The goal is to add business value through superior IT support and innovative, cost-effective digital solutions that enhance user experience and drive transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the IT strategy for the Japan market in line with global directives and local needs.
- Create governance models promoting transparency, compliance, and accountability.
- Act as the main IT point of contact for the Japan market leadership team.
- Lead enterprise architecture development to support scalable business changes.
- Ensure secure, agile, and globally consistent systems development that meets local standards.
- Maintain architectural coherence and integration to support seamless business processes.
- Foster a data-driven environment via advanced analytics embedded in decision-making.
- Oversee information security frameworks complying with corporate policies and local laws.
- Collaborate with legal, risk, and technical teams for data governance and cybersecurity management.
- Enhance business processes via automation and digital tools ensuring cross-functional collaboration.
- Maintain high service quality through supplier management and operational excellence.
- Set KPIs and feedback mechanisms to track and improve service delivery.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with internal stakeholders across functions and regions.
- Serve as the escalation point for IT challenges impacting business functions.
- Lead and develop a diverse, high-performing team, focusing on talent growth and succession planning.
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and growth-focused workplace culture.
Collaborations
- Work closely with Japan's Managing Director and Market Senior Leadership Team.
- Coordinate with the Chief Information Officer and Global Technology Senior Leadership Team.
- Engage with global IT and operations departments and local business partners.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration or Computer Science.
- At least 8 years of experience working in international IT environments, including 5 years in leadership roles.
- Excellent bilingual communication skills in Japanese and English (both spoken and written).
